Susquehanna University has been named a recipient of the Campus P牧师ention Network Seal of P牧师ention, which is awarded to institutions of higher education that have demonstrated leadership in digital p牧师ention programming focused on student safety, well-being and inclusion.

Each recipient of the CPN Seal of P牧师ention has taken action to create a safer, more inclusive campus through comprehensive, evidence-based digital p牧师ention education on issues such as sexual assault, 酒精滥用, mental health and discrimination. The CPN Seal of P牧师ention establishes guidelines for discerning quality online p牧师ention education and implementation practices, and positions p牧师ention as central to key institutional outcomes, including recruitment, 学生的成功, retention and advancement.

Susquehanna established its Violence Intervention and P牧师ention Center in 2018 with funding from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women. In addition to a 19-member Coordinated Community Response Team, the center oversees:

  • Extensive training programs for students, 教师 和工作人员.
  • 咨询 and advocacy services available for students 24/7 through Transitions of PA.
  • Continuing education opportunities for members of the university’s Code of Conduct board and public safety officers.

The criteria for the CPN Seal of P牧师ention are based on the Principles of Effective P牧师ention 项目 (Nation等)., 2003). Over 1,000 campuses are evaluated on an annual basis to determine eligibility.
